Rebirth of Kimono

眠っていた美しさを、そっと、今の暮らしへ。

長く眠っていたものや、たくさんの役目を終え、静かに物語を閉じようとしていた着物や帯。

いまの日本では、着物は特別な日にまとう、大切な存在です。
だからこそ、そのまま静かにしまわれていくには、少しさみしいほどの美しさがあります。

私たちは、そんな着物や帯に、もう一度、小さな役割を贈れたらと思いました。

和のデザインを、もっと自由に。もっと身近に。そして世界のどこかの日常へ。

カジュアルな装いにも、そっとなじむかたちで。いまの暮らしに、やさしく寄り添うものへ。

一枚ずつほどき、整え、必要なところはきちんと手をかける。

タグやラッピングにも、できるだけ役目を終えた素材を使いながら、手仕事で、もう一度つなぎ直していきます。

小さなかけらまで、大切に。

それがONの考えるRebirth of Kimono です。

Rebirth of Kimono

A quiet beauty,gently brought into everyday life.

Kimono and obi that once rested for years,

that had fulfilled their roles,and were about to close their stories in silence.

In Japan today,kimono are precious garments,worn on special occasions.

And because of that,there is a certain tenderness in seeing them carefully stored away.

We wished to give thema small new role once more.

Japanese design,freer,closer to daily life —

and perhaps finding its way into someone’s everyday,somewhere in the world.

Made to softly blend with casual clothing.

Made to gently live in the present.

Each piece is carefully unstitched,prepared,and tended to by hand where needed.

For tags and wrapping,we try to use materials that have already served their purpose —

quietly connecting them again through handwork.

Even the smallest fragments are treasured.

This is ON’s idea of Rebirth of Kimono.

ユーズド・リサイクル着物を活用し、素材に宿る物語や風合いを大切にし、ひとつひとつ丁寧にハンドメイドで製作しています。
生地の風合いや柄の個性を大切に、同じものは二つとない“一期一会”の出会いをお届けします。
ブランドタグや梱包備品にも、広告制作の現場で廃棄される資材を再利用し、できる限り環境負荷を抑えたものづくりを心がけています。
古き良きものを現代の暮らしに寄り添う形で再生する——そんな持続可能でやさしい循環を目指しています。
